On 5th January, 2022 H.E. Dr. Winfred Nii Okai Hammond officially opened the Beijing Mission’s Passport Printing Centre which is to serve Passport Application Centers in our Missions in New Delhi and Kuala Lumpur as well as the Consulate in Guangzhou and the Honorary Consulate in Hong Kong.
The first passport from the Centre was printed under the watch of the Head of Mission who was optimistic the Centre would provide an efficient and effective delivery of services to Ghanaians falling under purview of the Mission.
The Head of Mission, H.E. Dr. Hammond on 24th November 2021 paid a courtesy on Mr. Carios Watson Country Representative for Food Agriculture Organisation (FAO) in China. H.E. Dr Hammond who has served with FAO for over ten years held discussion with the Country Representative of FAO/China South-South Cooperation (SSC) programmes and ways to promote and facilitate SSC in agriculture sector through FAO’s intervention and support arrangements.
On 16th November, 2021 Ghana’s Ambassador to China, H.E. Dr Winfred Nii Okai Hammond met with Ms Zhou Kai, the UNAIDS Country Director in China. Views were exchanged on the programmes of HIV/AIDS prevention and other issues of mutual benefits to Ghana and the UNAID.
His Excellency Dr. Winfred Nii Okai Hammond, presented copy of Letter of Credence to H.E. Hong Lei, Director/ Department of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China on 27th October, 2021. H.E. Hong Lei congratulated H.E Dr. Winfred Nii Okai Hammond on his appointment and acknowledged the long-standing fruitful relations between Ghana and China.
